Simple Homemade Vinaigrette + Salad

A few weeks ago I finished off a bottle of greek feta salad dressing. It wasn’t until after I had realized it expired a year ago. Really? I ate almost half a bottle of dressing that was expired? I honestly didn’t even notice. And apparently it gets worse… salad dressing only lasts 8-10 months in the refrigerator. So, I ate salad dressing that should have been thrown out 1 year ago. There you have it… disgusting!

That said, I have been sightly turned off bottled salad dressing for the time being so I have been making my only simple homemade vinaigrette. Easy, healthy, and I know what’s in it…

Simple Homemade Vinaigrette

This vinaigrette is versatile and easy to make. Add your own custom flavours to this vinaigrette base, or enjoy as-is on a fresh salad.

Ingredients
3 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp rice wine vinegar
Fresh cracked black pepper & Sea Salt to taste

Directions
1. Pour all the ingredients into the bottom of your salad bowl. Whisk until combined.
2. Add your salad to the bowl and toss!Tip
When making an oil based vinaigrette, all you have to remember is the 3:1 ratio. Three parts oil to one part vinegar.

I bet you’re wondering how many expired condiments you have in your fridge right now…
